What these standards cover
These standards apply to Halo Hosting’s public educational content, including blog articles, comparisons, checklists, cost guides, and estimator explanations. Service pages, pricing pages, checkouts, proposals, and orders have a different job: they describe a Halo offer and the terms available for a particular purchase.
How we select sources
We prefer the most direct source that can support the claim being made:
- Halo facts: the current Halo service page, pricing page, checkout, and applicable order or terms.
- Provider facts: the provider’s current pricing page, product documentation, policy, or service terms.
- Security and public guidance: government agencies, standards bodies, and primary technical documentation.
- Market context: multiple clearly identified sources when a range or comparison cannot be established from one source.
A provider is authoritative about its published price and plan description, but its marketing claims are not independent proof that it performs better than a competitor. We label examples as examples, avoid turning promotional language into fact, and link readers to the underlying source when practical. If a material claim has no adequate source, we remove it, narrow it, or clearly identify it as opinion.
Review dates and changing information
Articles that depend on prices, plan features, laws, standards, or platform guidance show a published or updated date through the blog template. A substantive review checks the material facts and cited links in scope; it does not imply that Halo independently tested every third-party service.
Provider prices, promotions, limits, and terms can change after review. Readers should confirm them on the provider’s current page and checkout before purchasing. We update the article’s modified date when we make a substantive factual revision, not for silent spelling or formatting fixes.
Rankings, compensation, and affiliate links
Halo’s editorial policy is not to sell favorable rankings. External provider links in the hosting guides reviewed on the date above are direct reference links without affiliate tracking parameters.
If an affiliate link, paid placement, or other commercial relationship is introduced later, the relevant article will disclose it clearly near the recommendation or link. Compensation will not be presented as evidence that a provider is the best choice.
How estimates and ranges are built
Cost ranges and estimator outputs are planning tools, not universal prices, quotes, or forecasts. When Halo publishes a range, we aim to:
- use current first-party prices or multiple identified market sources available on the review date;
- compare similar scopes rather than treating server space and hands-on website care as the same product;
- separate introductory prices from renewal prices and identify prepaid commitments;
- normalize recurring costs into monthly or annual figures when that makes comparison clearer;
- round broad ranges rather than imply false precision; and
- state important exclusions such as taxes, domains, email, software licenses, overages, custom development, and optional add-ons.
Simple Halo totals use the published price and transparent arithmetic. For example, twelve $99 monthly Hosting & Care payments total $1,188. That annual figure is an illustration, not a statement of contract length; the applicable order or checkout controls continuing service and cancellation. A calculator or article does not promise traffic, rankings, leads, revenue, savings, speed, availability, or another business result.
Corrections and reader feedback
Send a possible factual error to support@halo-hosting.com. Include the page URL, the statement in question, and a primary source when available. Halo will review the report against the relevant source and current offer information.
When a correction materially changes a conclusion, price, scope, or safety recommendation, we update the article’s modified date and make the revised language clear. Minor grammar, accessibility, or formatting fixes may be made without a separate correction note.
Editorial content versus Halo offers
Blog content is general educational information. It is not a proposal, service-level agreement, guarantee, or replacement for advice tailored to a specific technical, legal, financial, security, or compliance situation.
As of August 1, 2026, Halo’s public pricing lists a $497 one-time Website Launch and optional Hosting & Care at $99 per month. The current pricing page, service page, checkout, and applicable order control what a customer purchases. If an article conflicts with those purchase materials, rely on the current offer and ask Halo to correct the article.
